I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The first thing that struck me was the stunning view from my room. I could see the beautiful Appenzell land through the glass-walled window, and it was truly breathtaking. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a large bed that provided a great night's sleep. Additionally, the breakfast spread was delicious, offering a variety of tasty options to start the day off right.
All was perfect during my stay.

Spent Christmas at a fantastic hotel with stunning scenery. The highlight was undoubtedly the delicious breakfast and the amazing indoor pool and spa that we could enjoy in perfect seclusion. The location was simply perfect - secluded enough to be peaceful and tranquil but close enough to experience the local culture. We also enjoyed the kind and accommodating staff who were helpful at all times.
The only drawback during our stay was the poor internet connection and the presence of other guests who were not hotel guests, which somewhat detracted from the exclusivity we were hoping for. Despite the presence of these guests, however, we still enjoyed the beautiful views and the overall hospitality.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! Cleanliness was top-notch, and the hotel facilities were fantastic, including a refreshing pool and a children's playground. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were always very warm and helpful. We also enjoyed the hotel's location outside the village, close to a couple of good hiking trails.
There was nothing we didn't like.

This hotel offers fantastic value for money. The prices are reasonable and the attention to detail is impressive. The location on a hill up the mountain outside of the village provides breathtaking views of the Appenzell land, especially from the glass-walled windows in the rooms. The large comfortable beds ensure a restful night's sleep, and the breakfast served here is simply delicious.
No negatives, everything was perfect!

The hotel location was not satisfying as it was next to a trailer park and the view from the room was of the trash dumpsters. However, the hotel was situated close to a couple of good hiking trails which was nice. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was also great with a wide variety of food options.
The hotel was overpriced in terms of the room and restaurant compared to the quality.

Magnificent views. Spacious and brand new room. Comfortable beds. Cleanliness everywhere. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Wonderful view from the restaurant.
Absolutely nothing.

The hotel had a warm and helpful staff, making English-speaking guests feel welcome. The area surrounding the hotel was stunning with plenty of hiking opportunities. We enjoyed the delicious food served in the restaurant, and appreciated that it was a short drive or hike into town.
The hotel's location was a bit remote and required transportation to get into town. the room we stayed in was uncomfortably hot and poorly ventilated, though it did have a beautiful view.
